Anybody else rely on Napa Cabbage to volumize? I love this stuff. The entire head of nutrient packed cabbage is only 210 Calories with 19 grams of protein. I add it to bean soup and pho for extra filling volume.

  1. “pho”: I bought the [pho broth packet on Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/Savory-Choice-Liquid-Concentrate-Vegetable/dp/B07CPHJLZ8/), added lime juice, napa cabbage, green onion, cilantro. The pho packets are much cheaper at Whole foods and other places.

    The bean soup: butter beans[, no-chicken better than bouillon](https://www.vitacost.com/better-than-bouillon-vegetarian-no-chicken-base-8-oz-2) broth, napa cabbage, corn, celery, onion, carrot

    other uses for napa cabbage: stir fry, taco base, salads, spring rolls, egg rolls, kimchi…

    Does Napa cabbage freeze well? I’ve always shied away from buying it because its so big and we’re a household of two.

    Wow- that’s a decent amount of protein for a cabbage…. What’s the gas situation like? I typically only eat cabbage in 1/4 head portions to prevent my gut from erupting with bad.

    We’ll I am making that soup for lunch! I always have one in the fridge but don’t know what to do with it.. it is my favorite hot pot item; my husband and I will use a hot pot base and fill it with Napa and enoki mushrooms!

    Yes! I make it with peanut noodles all the time. I soak the rice noodles in boiling water, and when cooked, pour the boiling water/noodles over a sieve filled with chopped Napa cabbage, stir around, the run cold water over to cool. Semi cooked without cooking. So easy and good.

    Just any cabbage for me, so good when I’m running out of calories for the day or saving up for later

  10. One of my favs. I usually finely slice it and serve it underneath / mixed into my stir fry’s.

  12. i add cabbage to everthing,,i dice it in the food processor after i by it,,then freeze it in 100 gram bags,,great for volumizing anything,,protein pancakes is what i use it in most tho

  13. We’ve been eating Japanese hot pot like 3x a week and napa cabbage is the main component. It’s sooo good!
