6th May 2023 Lunch (Saturday). I went to lunch with one of my best friends who lives in Tokyo now. She has been before when they opened so she has some what of a baseline. Even if there were a few nice dishes, I reckon for a 2 star restaurant some of the dishes were a miss plus service wasn’t impeccable leaves me wondering. Chef Calvert is great but I guess to each his own. I have seen some VIP/chefs/influencers getting a uni tart during their lunch/dinner meal and yeah go figure. Try if you want to but for 30,000 yen before taxes, you can have some nice Japanese sushi, sashimi, ramen etc in Tokyo.

Looks delicious. Though some of the plating needs work.
Oof, tbh looks like for another 14000 JPY you didn’t get a ton extra on the course relative to the menu du jour, assuming that’s the “dinner” course (though I do think the Kinki is never on the menu du jour and seems like a consistent highlight)
