What a fantastic meal at Restaurant Pearl Morissette (or RPM). Went to visit family back home and this restaurant had opened in the years since I moved away. Set atop one of the barns in their functional farm it was a gorgeous setting for a delicious meal. Everything is sourced within Canada and a lot of the herbs and veggies are grown on the farm itself. It’s also a functional winery so most of the wines available they produced (which was the weakest part, but Niagara wines can be very hit and miss). The experience was reminiscent of Singlethread with the utilization of their own produce and the natural presentations.

My favorite course was the cantaloupe sorbet, was blown away by the flavors they packed in to such an unassuming course. The mousse atop was the sorbet was herbaceous and paired well with the cantaloupe. Enjoyed exploring the great seafood Canada has to offer and the abundant agriculture of the Niagara green belt. Worth a visit if you ever get to Toronto or Niagara Falls.

I LOVE RPM! I try to make it multiple times a year (if possible). If it were in California, it’d had at least 1 ⭐️

Someone else on the forum praised the restaurant highly. I was planning to go in August but they are closed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, so exactly the days when I will be in the area.

  3. Love RPM, it deserves a star. Non-alcoholic pairing is fantastic, far better than what I’ve had at many 3 stars for the NA pairing (EMP, Geranium come to mind)
