This meal completely blew me away. It was a last minute addition to our itinerary and thank goodness we added it. First with the location: right on the Lisbon waterfront, with full windows to look out on the water. Fifty seconds refers to the elevator ride to get you from the ground to the restaurant.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. Their service was impeccable and really heightened our experience.

On to the food: this is a chef who clearly delights in balancing flavors and presenting plates that stand out. Each course was distinct and thoughtful, blending flavors we expected of the region with some global influences.

At the end of the meal, our server asked if we’d like to see the kitchen and meet the chef! We of course accepted and found him friendly and excited to speak about his cooking. He even brought us up a floor to see the new rooftop garden bar!

This meal might be one of, if not the, best I’ve ever had. I don’t have a single complaint about this meal and if you are ever in Lisbon, it is not to be missed.

This looks beautiful. The jalapeño foam dish definitely caught my attention. What was the price??

This looks delicious, but it’s no surprise given Martín Berasategui’s pedigree.

€235 is VERY steep though for Portugal!
