I got incredibly lucky on the Tim Raue waiting list and got a table booking one week before.

This is the best meal I’ve ever had. The service was incredible and friendly, the food was complex and delicious. The wine list was expansive and brilliant.

Particular highlights were the pikeperch – immaculately cooked with a great kick of heat and vinegar, along with the beef. Possibly my favourite however was the dessert (maybe it was the wine talking), I’m not usually a sweet person (in life or tastes) but this was phenomenal, sweet and sharp and creamy. Just the best.

This was an expensive meal but holy crap, if you get the chance please go.

  1. I was surprisingly impressed with the experience at Tim Raue and definitely recommend it. Also, I was surprised AND impressed that they allowed different tasting menus to be selected per person at the table. Which, if you’re willing to share with someone else, is a great way to sample more dishes!

  2. Looks amazing! I had to give up a reservation I had for here but definitely want to try to make it on a return trip!

    Are you local?

I like Time Raue but have had much more standout experiences at ernst, nobelhart & schmutzig, and (recently since the reconcepting) mrs robinson.

Of course all three of these have a much more relaxed vibe and atmosphere compared to TR.

Had a great meal here several years ago. Looks like the menu doesn’t change a whole lot over time as I recall having some of these dishes. Was one of our favorites on the German culinary exploration!
