  1. Vegetarian pizza

    You will need:

    3 cups flour,

    2 tsp. dry yeast,

    4 tbsp. olive oil,

1 cup of water, 0.5 tsp. each of salt and sugar,

    6 tomatoes,

    2 garlic cloves,

    1 chili pepper,

    1 apple,

    1 bell pepper,

    1 purple onion,

    2 handfuls of olives,

    6 mushrooms, spices and herbs.

Preparation: Mix flour, sugar, salt and dry yeast. Pour in the warm water and 2 tbsp olive oil.

Knead an elastic dough, leave it for half an hour and then roll out onto a baking tray. Chop 5 tomatoes, garlic and chili and fry in olive oil for about 5 minutes.

Add the grated apple, spices and herbs, and braise everything for another 5 minutes.

Leave the sauce like this, or chop it up with a blender, and spread it on the pastry. Thinly slice the remaining ingredients and spread the filling. Bake the vegetarian pizza in the oven for about 15-20 minutes at 200 degrees.

    That looks really good!

I like the combination of fresh mushrooms and black olives. I find the earthiness of the mushrooms and the pungency of the olives really suit each other. Nice to see someone else has the same thought.

Apple is a surprise, though! I’ve never had apple on pizza. I may have to try it.
