Overall rating: 9/10. Would love to come back here. This was a stellar tasting menu in an intimate atmosphere with high production values. It was a synchronized tasting menu with each dish being announced with best ways to eat it; as well as between each course there were provided laminated information on the course. The menu was inspired by a Korean woman chef’s cookbook from a long time ago, maybe the 17th or 18th century. It was a personalized experience with the chef coming by after the dinner service to each table and giving us a signed handwritten note with the menu afterwards. I forgot to take pictures of the wine pairing we had unfortunately – I definitely recommend getting it! My husband and I split the pairing and it was quite a few drinks including some unique inclusions such as Soju and red rice wine. If you live near or in SF definitely recommend going here before it gets a Michelin star. The location is in the Tenderloin so I recommend using Uber or Lyft to get there.

  1. I would add the only downsides were: it was a smallish tasting menu so you don’t leave feeling super full. And the waiters didn’t fold my napkin after I went to use the bathroom.

Edible shell? I’m so curious what it was made of! We live about 35 miles outside of SF but we never go there. Would love to check this place out.

Looks very interesting. The edible oyster shell is a very cool touch, looks so realistic!

How many zombies did you have to step over between the Uber door and the restaurant door?
