Fruit tarts or mixed berry tarts, they usually sell them at the bakery section of the grocery store but bakeries and chains like Le Madeleine (in the US) also sell them. They usually have a layer of custard under the berries like these do, but there are versions without.

  2. the pastry portion is a tartlet or mini-tart shell, I think you can buy those pre-made if you want to roll your own. Also they are relatively easy to make, being a quick bread (no lamination, no yeast, essentially shortbread).

  3. I call them custard tarts with fruit on top.

I usually make them myself rather than buying them so I can control the ratios better.

The shells are tough to make tho.

Once you got those down the custard is pretty simple.
