It’s all about the beef at Born and Bred and it’s amazing! I managed to snag one of the seven seats for the omakase and while I have never left a degustation hungry, I’ve never been as full as I have dining here.

An excellent experience all round. The chef was very engaging and took time to explain the cuts and flavours very thoroughly. They also have more casual dining options in their upper floors. I highly recommend the Hanwoo burgers. They were insanely good.

Banchan (side dishes) were provided including a delicious white kimchi that was replenished regularly throughout the meal.

Still can’t add add captions to my pics, so here’s the list:

1. 3-day beef broth and morel mushroom
2. Beef tartare, caviar, potato cracker
3 – 10. Various cuts of hanwoo beef
11. Sea squirt
12. Dongchimi and pressed caviar
13. Brisket, caviar, truffle
14. Abalone dumpling
15. Beef and mushroom
16. Korean bapsang
17. Hanwoo burgers
18. Hanwoo phở
19. Chapaguri a la “Parasite”
20. Bingsu, red bean, walnut ice cream.

  1. Damn that looks lovely, but also the idea of that tasting menu ending with a full size burger and a bowl of noodles sounds so heavy. Also how much was this?

  2. I went in august and can say i agree. I never left a place as full as I did there. The food never stopped coming. The chef kept bringing out non menu items that they were working on.

No burger on my trip. It was a beef katsu sandwich which was incredible.

Getting a omakase resy is a hassle tho. Luckily my girl is korean and she did the dirty work

price wise it was 350,000 won about 270 US per person. A steal IMO for hanwoo beef of that calibur and quanity.
