  1. This was the best meal I’ve ever eaten. Everything was extremely well executed with bold and very interesting flavors, and I loved how creative they got with some of the dishes (a chawanmushi with caviar that was also a split pea soup, a coconut ice cream served with tomato and olive oil, and a garlic flavored bonbon, among others). This was one of those meals where everything was so good that I really can’t pick a favorite dish, but if I had to, I’d be split between the grilled lobster dish, the aforementioned chawanmushi/pea soup, and the monkfish with fermented mushroom broth. I don’t make a ton of money (I’m a PhD student) and had to save up for this trip, but I felt absolutely no regret or sadness at all paying the ~$640 bill at the end of the meal. I didn’t get a wine pairing but did have a few glasses, and they were all stellar. I have to give a special shoutout to the glass of Jacques Selosse I had at the beginning of the meal because that was just an absolutely incredible champagne. Service was super friendly and down to earth. Overall superb; would travel to Stockholm to eat here again

Such a beautiful restaurant. One of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve ever had. I see they still have the macaron starter…that was delightful.

Still probably the best restaurant in Scandinavia (though I have not been to Maaemo, which looks outstanding).
