Recipe: ps I do not have the exact measurements…I kind of just did this on the top of my head.

    Ingredients :

    – Sauce:
    • low sodium soy sauce
    • honey
    • brown sugar
    • 1 shaved carrot
    • 1 bushel of green onions
    • 1 jalapeño pepper
    • 1 tbsp of minced ginger
    • 1 tsp of flour

    – Tofu:
    • 1 block of extra firm tofu
    • egg and flour for batter

    Instructions:

    1) Drain tofu of moisture for 20 to 30 mins
    2) chop into rectangles or any size you prefer
    3) Chop and shred the vegetables for the sauce
    4) egg wash tofu first then cover in flour

    5) In a sauce pan, add your soy sauce and ginger on medium-high heat, then add brown sugar and honey.
Once it starts to bubble go ahead and add your veggies. Make sure it doesn’t get too bubbly and stir on occasion well so the sugar doesn’t burn.

    6) Use your preferred cooking oil in a skillet and fry your battered tofu, 4-5 minutes each side or until crispy and golden brown.

    7) adjust sauce to your tasting preference, and add flour to make it nice and thick. Use a spoon and swipe your finger across the back of the spoon. When you can still see the path you swiped it’s thick and ready.

    8) Use tongs and paper towel to absorb remaining oil from pan and then power the sauce. Toss and coat, then serve.

This looks so appetizing, I’m ready to ignore the funny splatter patterns on the plate 😄 Seriously though, looks absolutely delicious! I’d love to have this over a small helping of steamed rice 🙂

I seriously wonder what tofu tastes like. I wanna try it but afraid I’ll hate it. It looks great!

  4. Wow that looks and sounds amazing! Thanks for the recipe! I usually do a cornstarch coating on my tofu and I am excited to try this one!
