I’m considering buying some cured meats from [this](https://undergroundmeats.com/pages/about) website.
They say it’s safe to ship, but I have concerns because I live where it’s hot (90° and hotter) and I’m worried at how well this will hold up in the mail and mailbox once delivered.
Also, I’m not sure how hot it gets in a UPS truck or wherever it’s at during transit.
Any advice on if these products look safe to purchase online? I was looking at [this](https://undergroundmeats.com/collections/all/products/underground-basics-box) starter pack and [this](https://undergroundmeats.com/collections/all/products/underground-meats-signature-box) starter pack.
Thanks in advance!

Coincidentally, I’ve purchased from underground several times and no complaints here. Really enjoy the ghost pepper pepperoni!
Can’t comment on the safety of it but have also purchased from other cured meat purveyors like Benton’s bacon, Broadbent and Nueskes. All orders (including underground) shipped without ice or cold packs etc. everything checked out.
I can’t be 100% sure but I believe the curing process (sodium nitrite) coupled with vaccum sealing mitigates the risks of bacteria and spoiling from not being refrigerated.
They wouldn’t say so if it wasn’t
That’d be a lot of lawsuits…
I’ve sent cured salami all the way round World with no issues and in one case had the package returned (making it having traveled all the way round the globe) and it arrived with the salami in perfect condition
If youre purchasing dry cured products, you should have almost no worry. My company does D2C sales and after running some trials, our salamis travel fine with no ice packs (We still give one as to not worry customers).
