Dîner chez Granite (November 2023)

  1. On a passé un dîner incroyable chez Granite à Paris pendant notre dernier voyage. Chaque plat avait un bel équilibre et on a eu la chance de nous asseoir à côté de la cuisine a le premier étage. Le Chablis, un 2019 Vincent Dauvissat Premier Cru “La Forest” était parfait pour ce dîner.

    Pour quatre personnes (le menu quartz), quatre verres de champagne, le chablis, et quatre verres de chartreuse jaune, c’était proche de 1000€. J’ai hâte de retourner un jour. On adore dîner en France car il est presque d’impossible de payer ce prix chez nous à Chicago.

    We had a wonderful dinner at Granite during our last visit to Paris recently. Each plate was outstanding, with brilliant balance, and we were able to sit on the main floor with a view of the kitchen. The 2019 Vincent Dauvissat Premier Cru “La Forest” was perfect for the dinner, and at an outstanding value. For four people (eating off the middle-tier “quartz” menu) along with four glasses of champagne, the Chablis, and four glasses of chartreuse, it was about 1000€. An outstanding value. We love dining in France—it’s substantially more affordable for us compared to Chicago.

  2. I went to Granite last year and had a great experience too. I went as a solo diner and got to chat with the chefs as I was sat by the kitchen. They had a raspberry sorbet with a special mint from Corsica that’s one of the best things I’ve ever had.
