Overall, the dishes felt lackluster. I’ve tasted numerous Michelin restaurants in Southern California and this one is not head and shoulders above the two star restaurants. Although the service was commendable, the highlight, the meal, was subpar. The flavors of the majority of the dishes were either mediocre or queer. Of all western cuisine I have tasted in Souther California, I would put Providence in the top spot despite being 2 stars. To me, this meal may be worth a stop, but definitely not worth a special journey.
