Easily one of the best meals we had during our 2 weeks in Japan and definitely in my top 10 meals ever.
They are just shy of their 1 year anniversary and it was just such a pleasant experience. Chef Hideki Endo has done a wonderful job with the space. Everyone working there were such a pleasure to get to know throughout the evening. I took tasting notes but now I’m not sure what dish is what as the sake started to kick in.
But the Idiot fish was amazing!! I’d never had idiot fish before and it was a very light fish. The kumquat sauce was perfect with it.
This was my first snow crab of what would become a trip of snow crabs haha turns out I don’t much like snow crab but MAME’s was my favorite out of all the snow crabs.
If you’re planning to head to Niseko I highly recommend calling them and getting a reservation!
