  1. An absolute steal for a 10-course meal at merely 85,000 won ($69 USD) at one of Korea’s 1-Michelin Star restaurants. I ate there in early January, but sadly they are only serving dinner going forward so it will be slightly more expensive.

    YUN Seoul specializes in dry-aging ingredients, with fish and fruit hanging from the ceiling around this small restaurant. Fine dining can all seem the same after a while, but this place definitely has a unique identity. This very filling lunch pays astounding attention to detail, with SO many house-made ingredients.There are drawbacks in terms of service. Everyone needs to start each dish at the same time, so you can feel peer pressure if you are a slow eater (everyone sits around the same rectangular “chef’s counter”). We also had to use the same cutlery throughout (though we had 6 pieces). I know a lot of people care about service, but personally I only care about taste/creativity/effort, so I didn’t really mind these aspects.     I dont like seafood [yet] but this made my mouth water. Looks tasty. Like the epitome of elegance in simplicity

  3. Went there for lunch as well back in Oct 2022. Ambiance and service was meh, but props to them for catering to me as the only non-Korean speaking person eating there for that meal. I also don’t place much of an emphasis on that anyways. The most important aspect is the food which was 💯 and on par with the other 2+ Michelin stars I ate during that trip. It was also incredible value for the price.
