Easy to get a reservation with Amex concierge (at least for us)
Overall great experience. Food was flawless, great depth of flavors coaxed out of the sauces. If there was a weak dish it was the soup of foie and escargot. Not bad, but a little bit boring. Truffles did help it (as they do everything).
We got the wine pairing because I thought it would be hard to match 1-2 bottles to such varied food. Great pairing and it was a lot of wine… my fiancé said “I was worried that they wouldn’t be able to keep up with our drinking but turns out we can barely keep up with their pouring”
Service was attentive and very friendly but not warm and over the top on the level of TFL or Guy Savoy. Although, I think the counter format makes that kind of service more difficult than at a table.
My biggest complaint is that it felt a little rushed. They slammed through over a dozen courses in a little over 2 hours, compared to 4-5 hours for a similarly long menu at Guy that I had last month. I understand that they had to get through 2 seatings per day but it would have been nice to linger a little longer and enjoy the time there…

That last dish tho 🤪
Looks amazing, good to know Amex can still get some tables. Did you call concierge, or was it through tock? I was under the impression that the concierge just tied into tock anyway

Food looks flawless and perfect. Unfortunate that the menu seems to shrink every 6 months and they carve out supplements

The duck dish looked a little….. underwhelming? Now much color or technique here. Was it delicious?

Some of the dishes are familiar from when we ate there pre-Covid, like the duck, brioche and uni, and the frozen soufflé. It was delicious and perfectly executed.

nice pics! Miss the food but I don’t miss the bad service we got last time lol. What flavor was the frozen soufflé this time?

Hey is that Korean somm still there? He was the absolute worst… rude and picked <$20 wines for our seating’s pairing (we took photos of the labels and looked them up after)

Beautiful. I went there in November of 2021 and did the pairings. It was the best pairings I’ve ever had.
